Alice Valder Curran is a life sciences regulatory expert and partner at Hogan Lovells with a particular emphasis on pharmaceutical pricing and market access.
After growing up in Arizona and going to school in California and New York, Alice has made her home in the Washington, D.C. region with her husband and three children. As an influential policy advocate before Congress and the Executive Branch, Alice has built a market-leading practice serving drug developers in the areas of drug pricing, regulatory innovation, and market access. The Financial Times recognized her in its awards for “Most Innovative Legal Practitioner” for her work developing the multiple Best Prices reporting option, which was codified by CMS in regulation. With Congress’ recent adoption of significant changes to drug pricing regulation, she is a sought-after advisor on the economic and policy implications of the Inflation Reduction Act.
At Hogan Lovells, Alice served on its International Management Committee as a Regional Managing Partner and then head of the firm’s Global Regulatory Practice. She completed her leadership stint as the head of the organization’s 700-lawyer Global Regulatory and Intellectual Property practice, where she helped direct the vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations. A passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion, and equity, Alice champions policies at her own firm as well as more broadly that support flexible working arrangements and the development and advancement of women and other minorities.
